This would be a cool gig since the Caps are perhaps the most progressive franchise in dealing with the "new media" ya know bloggers/podders etc.).  You roll with the team and organize a lot of events (commemorating milestones etc).

Manager of Media Relations - Washington Capitals (Washington, DC)

Overview: Handle day-to-day media responsibilities and assure effective communications between the Capitals organization and the media. Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day media interaction with players, coaches and members of the media at team practices and games with primary emphasis on broadcast rights holders and local beat writers.

Travel with the team on a regular basis and attend a majority of practices and morning skates as well as all home games.

Obtain, copy and distribute news clips and NHL statistical information to media, players and coaches.
